Introduction
When you connect a database or filestore behind a firewall to Kleene, you need to allowlist Kleene's outbound IP addresses so Kleene can reach your source. This is commonly required for database connectors such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Outbound IP addresses to allowlist
Allowlist both of the following IP addresses for the connection to work:
- 54.78.204.135
- 34.242.207.164
What to do in your firewall or network settings
- Open your firewall, security group, or network access control settings for the database or filestore.
- Add both Kleene outbound IP addresses to the allowlist.
- Save the changes and apply them to the relevant environment or resource.
- Test the connection from Kleene to confirm the source is reachable.
Additional information
If your connection still fails after allowlisting both IP addresses, check whether any other network rules, authentication settings, or source-side restrictions are blocking access. If needed, contact your network administrator or Kleene support for further assistance.
